These are no frills camps!

You are coming for one reason: To become the best wrestler possible! You should be physically and mentally prepared when you come to camp. We will have 3 hard wrestling sessions every day. Make sure you bring enough clean workout gear for the entire week. You will be wrestling, eating, and sleeping in the same facility. There will be 3 all you can eat meals provided daily. The wrestlers will be closely supervised at all times. Campers cannot leave the facility without permission from a coach.

Camp Descriptions:

Team Camp (7th - 12th grade) Coaches, this is a great opportunity for you to instill team unity into your team for next season. This camp will cover the same techniques and drill that the individual camps will cover. Your wrestlers will compete in 30-40 matches in one week! The Golden Cross System will show your wrestlers the techniques, mental toughness, and intensity that it takes to reach their individual and team goals.

Sr. High/Jr. High Intensive: (7th - 12th grade) Are you ready to put yourself to the best? The Golden Cross System will cover all aspects of wrestling that will help you step up to the next level. This camp will set a foundation of the basics of wrestling and then build to the most advanced techniques and drills that will challenge every wrestler. These techniques, coupled with the intense drilling and live wrestling will get you ready to compete at the highest level possible.

Youth Intensive: (K-6th grade) The youth camp is a spin-off of the Sr. High/Jr. High camp. The youth wrestlers will receive the individual attention they need to master the basic and advanced techniques that will be covered. There will be a lot of intense drilling and live wrestling that will challenge youth wrestlers of all ages and talents. If your wrestler is willing to work hard, this is the camp for them. You will see immediate results!

Grade School Beginner (K-6th grade)

New for this summer is our Beginner camp! There are virtually no camps that are designed for the
beginner wrestler. So if you have child that would like to try wrestling for the first time or a wrestler
that only has a few years experience, this camp is designed specifically for them! The Golden Cross Staff will teach the fundamentals of wrestling in a fun atmosphere. We will teach a system that ANY youth athlete can comprehend. Good sportsmanship, self-confidence, self-discipline, and self-motivation will be emphasized throughout this camp! All students will be closely supervised before, during, and after all sessions. Session times: 1-3 pm 4-6 pm

Coach Zerkle's Philosophy

I believe that I will be a successful coach if I can help an athlete excel in wrestling while instilling moral characteristics through hard work and discipline.

I have the privilege to be a full time wrestling coach. My job here at   Golden Cross Wrestling is simple. To help young athletes reach their goals in wrestling and in life.

The Golden Cross Wrestling System gives me the opportunity to teach athletes the proper technique, mental toughness, and discipline that it takes to become successful in wrestling. I also have the opportunity to teach aspects about life that may not be emphasized at home or in the classroom. Some of these assets include self motivation, team work, goal setting, self worth, good work ethic, and many more. These essential qualities that every student athlete needs to become successful in life can be taught through hard work.

I judge the success of a student athlete's career not just by their wins and losses but more importantly, by the lifelong characteristics that have been instilled in them through my coaching style. I want each of my athletes to become hard workers, good employees, excellent parents, and well rounded citizens.

Member Options

ELEMENTARY (K-6th Grade)

Your elementary wrestler has two options.

First, use this Golden Cross Club 4 days a week to train and compete at a high level every practice. This will allow your wrestler to advance quickly and get the edge on their competition. We will have open tournaments of various talent levels scheduled for you to choose from throughout the season.

Second, join your local youth program such as, La Salle's Little Lancers, and practice with them twice a week. Then use the Golden Cross Club to get your wrestler one or two advanced practices in each week.

Jr. High (7-8th Grade)

All Jr. High wrestlers have two options as well. If your Jr. High has a wrestling program you can choose to participate on their team and use the Golden Cross Club for more advanced supplemental training. Using this approach, you will  limit your potential with restricted matches and competition.

The other option is to train 4 days a week with the most advanced wrestlers in the area and not be restricted with the number of matches or level of competition. We will have a schedule set up so that you can pick the type of competition that you are looking for. The schedule will range from average local tournaments to the toughest tournaments in the country.

High School (9-12th Grade) SUNDAYS ONLY!

As a high school wrestler you need to use the Golden Cross Club to out train your competition. You have the opportunity to train with the best wrestlers in the Tri State. The level of competition and intensity of each practice is what you need to achieve your full potential for this season! Don't miss out on this opportunity to reach your full potential!

Club Cost Options:

Pay Per Session - $10 (most choose this option)

Full Time $425  (3-4 days a week)  77 Sessions
